This essay aims to start from the emotions an art piece triggers, then connect this to one’s cognitive systems. Then, this will be explained from social signals, the morality of the art and the creator, and the comprehensive process of experiencing an art piece. The whole model of aesthetics is complicated, but can be roughly summarized with a theoretical framework, subsided by the aesthetic experience itself, the individual quality of the viewer, and differences across cultures. Understanding how we view art from a moral perspective allows individuals to better feel and experience art, and makes it easier for the public to regulate immoral art if needed.
